I have been getting a lot of requests for our logo lately. I don’t know if it’s because we recently launched a bunch of new products, because our users made new year’s resolutions to finally pretty up that Meebo link on their blog or homepage, or because we are just getting more popular. I like to think it’s the popular thing 
Even internally, since David worked some magic with the colors in the Meebo logo last year, we have been trying to update our documents and presentations with the most current version of the logo.
So a couple of months ago, Sara put together a page at meebo.com/identity with our logo in a few different formats and sizes, and David added some visual guidelines to go along with it. It’s still a bit of a work in progress, but if you are looking for the Meebo logo it’s a great place to start. Make sure to read our guidelines, and of course remember that the logo is trademarked by Meebo, with all the important legal stuff that goes along with it.
That way our logo will always look like this, and we won’t have to see it with a funny background like this, with weird shadows like this, and definitely not all stretched out like on this site!
Hopefully our logo page will be a helpful resource.

fortunately, there are plenty of other less-than-attractive uses of our logo out there. I updated the broken links with a couple more examples

hmm, for some reason when i try to change my AOL Instant Messenger display name, it works but the next time i sign on it goes back to the original one.
i.e. 1) i start off with “omg NINAA”
2) i change it to “omg n i n aa”
3) i log in the next day & it’s back to “omg NINAA”
is there a reason for this? or is it just me?

I did a video bit where meebo is mentioned and graphically represented. I altered the logo so as not to infringe on your copyright. Would it have been ok to use it… and can I do so in the future? minimum logo width of 157 pixels? you gotta be kidding. that’s a huge minimum size. good luck holding to that standard. try providing a working version of the logo at half that width (72 pixels) and maybe we’ll take you seriously.

P.S. (and sorry for double commenting but i forgot to mention) prior to seeing this (just now) i was using this for the button http://www.nemchik.com/files/images/icons/message/meebo-2.png and i am very glad to see that you guys are now offering the logo out for people to use on their websites
and sadly it was less than a week ago that i made that button for use on my site (at which point these graphics did not seem to be available, i didnt ask, but i did look around for a bit to try and find something)

yay! thanks for providing graphics. i have to admit, i was guilty of stretching the logo as a result of not knowing what the actual dimensions were. now it looks great. and btw, i think the logo looks great the way it is. it doesnt need any customizing or spicing up!

meebo is probably getting more popular. i definitely think it’s the best messenger out there b/c you can have it all in one. it works well too, other than occasional network interruptions its great. more people need to find out about it.

Looking at the bad examples on your identity page, the “saturated” colors example (4th down) is no more saturated than the blue background on the good side. I give you that it looks nasty, but the description is inaccurate. It is brighter, but isn’t significantly more saturated.

the msn part of meebo has trouble loggign in because there are hackers in thsi site. they use our msn ids to message our friends with false links. meebo, why are you ignorig these problems. i saw a few weeks ago many people were posting about this but nothign has been addressed. this site is not very safe, can’t you address our safety issues?

I’ve been using meebo for more than a year now. I’m quite happy with the site, except for some errors i encounter. For instance, yahoo seems to disconnect every now and then. And my offline contacts doesn’t show in the list. Thanks!

Interestingly, the logos on the identity page are displaying a little jaggy because you’re forcing them smaller than they should be. (you’re forcing the 175×75 image into a 165×71 space)
