Elaine and Sandy are working on some highly requested features. We hope to roll these out in the next couple of days, so stay tuned!

We got a really fantastic surprise this morning when we checked our stats. In our first 48 hours, we had between 30 and 40k people log in and try out our service. That’s a lot more than the 7 people who tried our friends and family release. Thanks to all who have pointed folks to meebo, and to everyone who has given the service a spin!

A number of folks asked us to post a privacy policy. Our lawyers are working on drafting an official policy, but we went ahead and posted privacy principles that we will live by early yesterday morning. You can get to the principles on both the blog, and the “privacy” link near the top of the page when logged into meebo.

Dan Grossman on aventureforth paid us a really nice compliment when he listed meebo as one of the top 12 ajax applications! We were also all smiles to find that Gary King had posted a Wikipedia entry on meebo!

We’ve had a bunch of great offers for help…Abbi said, “If you want a Mac loaner, lemme know, I’ll be glad to hook you up,” which we really appreciate.

Again, thank you so very much for checking meebo out and for all of the feedback, bug reports, and comments.

We’re looking forward to taking a few hours to play frisbee tomorrow! Have a great weekend, and look for a couple new features shortly!

Thanks again!

Seth
